1960  ABC-TV airs sitcom My Three Sons.
1982  Unidentified killer(s) caused the recall of 264,000 bottles of the Tylenol pain reliever when a California man was poisoned by a strychnine-laced capsule, also killing 7 others.  Today there are tamper-proof indicators on all medicines.
